It has become an afternoon thing to clear some problems here. I have no idea if this will help me in my examinations, but it is something that prevents me from stopping programming (though I solve these problems in Python). I found some past-year examination papers I downloaded from somewhere so I am going to start with them tomorrow - the start of reading week.

I finally tasted the pressure of the practical examination. And all of my classmates knew that our examination venues were based on the online ranking, which inadvertently led to me being overestimated. Everyone was typing away as though they were simply copying, while I stare at the question paper, sometimes scrolling up and down to either skip to a new question, or skip back to an old question.
I am simply someone who likes to put in a lot of effort for this kind of things (online programming assignments). And I like to get things done as soon as possible. But I also appreciate the fact that I had time in my hand back then. Not tonight.
I was literally petrified when I traced my program over and over but could not find the bug that led to the public test case failure. I managed to deal with some of them, but two parts (of substantial marks) were left broken. I also skipped almost the whole of the first question, which was about a game, and didn't seem like a game to me.
In the last thirty seconds of the exam, I just let my brain shut down. And I scurried to my calculator to gauge my prospects again. It is because of the cold, hard reality of "I want to ace but I might not" that led me to do this kind of despicable calculations.
I feel cushioned by my continuous assessments (CA), but why, otherwise, is the first semester already so hard like a rock?

I feel that I did the right thing in coming for this last lecture (also because of Mr. Sim's outfit!), although it will not be tested two weeks later. The topic was about Cardinality and Infinity. It was an inspiring lecture although really mind-blowing. How can there be as many odd/even integers as both odd and even integers!? I found the answer today. Still finding it hard to accept, but one day I will stumble upon a greater revelation. Today is the day I am seeing some sense in Cantor's argument, when slightly less than a month ago, I read and read the Wikipedia page and I could only say "Given a list of real numbers in a given interval, I can always come up with a real number that is not in the list." Now I bridged the link between this "incompleteness" and the "how" of all this. All in all, I think I did actually enjoy learning about discrete mathematics.

I need to pen down some stuff I will do to the content of this blog in December:
1. Update any post with content "Reserved" with actual content.

3. Blog more about Ruby on Rails

5. Tell you about my attempt in using WordPress (that came with other baggage jewels like phpMyAdmin)

As for the web page itself:
1. Background image loads really slowly
2. The image is above the scroll bar (tried z-index before but failed)
3. Need more music!
4. Other features like "About" shall wait...
Just a BUMP here. I'm still around somewhere!
